Make Progress!!

Good Morning,

No matter what is going on in your life right now, you must make sure that your life is progressing. Life can only move in two directions, you are either moving forward or moving backward. Life is meant to be lived going forward with growth being your guide. Those who stay stagnate are really moving backwards and are not fully maximizing their full potential. Don't worry about how fast or slow you're going, as long as you're moving in the right direction you will fulfil all of your dreams and aspirations!! Those who know the Real Points of Power know that stale water stinks you have to keep moving. Move Forward!! Make Progress!!

Sincerely,

Oil Change

Good Morning,

Just recently I purchased a new vehicle. As I was looking over the vehicle with my wife. I noticed that the sticker in the window stated that it was due up for an oil change. Jeremiah 31:25 says, “I will refresh the weary and satisfy the faint.” One very important part of maintaining good automobile performance is to have a regular oil change. The old oil is removed and fresh oil is added. This restores the engine to peck performance. In a likewise fashion, relationships and events require frequent restorations. Your marriage needs fresh conversations and encounters. Choose new and exciting things to do with your spouse instead of those same old stale routines and habits. Training your kids needs new approaches. Try asking them where they’ve been instead of blaming them for being late. Building your career needs a fresh direction. Try cooperating with your bosses instead of fighting them. Your day to day routine may need new wrinkles in it. Changing your route to work or were you eat for lunch might help. The point is to look for positive changes you can make in your day to day lives and relationships. Vacation in places you’ve never been; talk about things you normally don't; try foods that are different; Do something fresh! Get out of that rut! Get rid of that old oil – old habits, rituals and mind sets. Find ways to start fresh each day so you can enjoy your tomorrows with a long, healthy lifestyle, one filled with joy and peak performance. Those who know the "Real Point of Power" know your life needs regular maintenance. Don't neglect it. This is has been your weekly Power Point. Have a great day.

Do You Were Make Up?

Good Morning,

Last week as I was taking my daughter to school and my wife to work. My wife was sitting there putting on her make up on and my daughter asked her a question. Mom when can I start to were make up? And my wife responds with an answer and I begin to think. Cosmetics or makeups are wonderful! It helps people look great and create awesome looks. It covers up imperfections. And that’s great, because most people have some sort of skin imperfection. No one’s skin is perfect. It is likewise the same when it comes to character. Most people have some sort of imperfection. People aren't perfect, they make mistakes.

Sometimes people need makeup to help them through their imperfections, through mistakes and the boo-boos of life. Love is a great makeup to apply to mistakes. Love does not agree with the mistake. But it does help with recovery from it. Proverbs 10:12 says, “Hatred stirs up dissension, but love covers over all wrongs.” So don’t be so mean to others about every mistake they’ve made. Coworkers, uncles, kids, spouses, friends and the girl at the counter at McDonald's makes mistakes. Cars accidently get scratched, your shoes get stepped on, and your shirt stained. These are mistakes. Mistakes need love, not exposure. You don’t have to always beat a person to near death to teach them the errors of their ways.

Those who know the Real Points of Power know that sometimes, covering them with love as they correct the mistake will help. Don’t agree with mistakes, but try to help with recovery. Apply a covering of love. See the difference it makes in how you get along with others, especially those who are different from you. - - This has been your weekly power point. Have a beautiful day.

Next Time Excuses!!

Hello,

Have you ever met somebody who has an excuse for absolutely everything I mean everything but, they never accomplish anything? Ask them to do something, and they have an excuse. The date is wrong, it’s too hard, it cost too much, there isn’t enough time, or the famous how about the next time. This weekend I missed out on a great opportunity, because I made an excuses of why I wanted to stay in bed. Excuses! If you are not careful, you will spend your entire day, perhaps your entire life, waiting on the next time. Some opportunities come seldom and many others come only once. Some people may say well maybe this wasn't for you or God didn't have it in your plan. These are excuse to continue in living an average life. But, don’t you think it’s time you got going on some of your dreams and desires. Next time may never come. This time may be the best time ever for you. You may never have enough money, or the right timing may never come. But don’t let these be excuses that keep you from enjoying your life. Life is too wonderful to waste on next time excuses. You could become one of those next time people who never experience the richness of this wonderful world. So the next time you have a next time moment, consider doing it this time. - Romans 14:5 says, “One man thinks one day is more important than another. Another man thinks every day is the same. Every man must be sure in his own mind.” - Discover what’s important to you. No more excuses this time. Let's Make It Happen!! - - This has been Your Weekly Power Point. Have a wonderful day.

Marathon Race

Good Morning,

As I was praying about this weeks power point and what it was going to be about. My mind quicken on the thought of a marathon race. With this down turn in our economy some may have had to start to reinvent themselves. For some your age may be factor or your education level may be factor. To why you can't go after some of our dreams. But, Paul said in the bible "the race is not given to the swift, nor to the strong, but unto him that is able to endure unto the end." So whether it a 6K or 10K race, or the Boston or New York marathons, you must be willing to go the distance to succeed you must be willing to endure the pain. It’s likewise that way when it comes to achieving you goals in life, you must be willing to go the distance and endure the pain! Life is not without sacrifices and pains. There are spousal pains, job pains, kids’ pain, school pains, and relationship pains. But when the goal is worth it, you will endure them, you will make it. Prepare today to go the distance. Hold on to your joy, happiness, good nature and calmness. Be patient with your friends and love ones. Go the distance with humility keep your ego in check. Whatever your goal is, you can Make It Happen! You can succeed. Follow Christ’s example and stay the course. Hang in there. Those who know the Real Points of Power know that being the best requires tremendous effort. It’s not just a race, it’s a marathon and you will make it. - - This has been Your Weekly Power Point. Have a good day.

Validated!!

Hello!!

As I was watching a show on TV yesterday (Homeland Security) I noticed that when you go throughinternational customs at airports is very interesting. They take your passport, examine it; and if all is in order, they stamp it. The stamp allows you to enter the country and move about freely. Without it, you have no legal rights there. You must have their validation. But you don’t need the stamp of others to be yourself. When it comes to living with joy, happiness, peace of mind and satisfaction, you don’t need another to give it to you, or make you feel special. You are already validated by God. You are not validated by were you live or what drive and don’t wait on others to grant you access to peace and contentment. It is in your hands, not theirs. Forget the negativity, disrespect, and misuse that come against you. Don’t waste energy trying to prove that you have worth. What matters is that God has already determined that you are special you already have access to his country, his kingdom, his joy and satisfaction! That’s good enough. Those who know the REAL POINTS OF POWER know that they can enjoy the freedom that comes through God's seal of approval. You are validated. - - This has been your weekly power point

Stinking Thinking

Good Morning,

If you go through your day thinking that things will be bad, there is a good chance they will. If you think someone is talking about you or out to get you, it will start to seem that they are. When you believe your boss doesn’t like you, that you will always be broke, your health will always be bad and your situation will never get better, it will shape your actions. So don’t do it don’t think yourself into a bad mood, into a down spirit. Don’t give in to stinking thinking. Proverbs 23:7 says, “For as he thinks in his heart, so is he.” Your thoughts can affect your entire mood and outlook on your day. Don’t let your thoughts take you down hill, give your thoughts a chance to do well, to find joy, and to be happy. When obstacles come your way, think positive first, not negative. When trouble interrupts you, believe it will not overwhelm you. Stop thinking oh woe is me. Choose to have a positive attitude about the new challenges in your life, being single (recent break up), paying off debt (after receiving a bill you can't pay) being healthy (after receiving a bad report from your doctor). Be upbeat about the twist and turns down the highways of life, despite the distance, to going from good to great, be understanding and lose the stinking thinking. Because those who know the real Points of Power know, that they need to set there thoughts on finding the best in each situation and the best will show up in there life. You will be happier about it. - - This is your weekly Power Point. Have a wonderful day.

Be Thankful!!

Good Morning,

There are some days when things go well and some when they don’t. And it’s hard to predict which, just like the weather; some days are sunny and some days are rainy. You can’t predict them. But you can predict your attitude about your day. Your attitude about your circumstances can be predicted because you choose it. So choose a thankful one. Choose to be thankful for life itself and for the chance to try again, to love again, to make peace again, to care again! Regardless of your circumstance, be thankful for each moment they are all so precious. Your life may not be all you had hoped it would be, but that’s no reason to be down. Get up! Be content and happy about the simple things and it will help your mood. Philippians 4:11 says, “I am not complaining about having too little. I have learned to be satisfied with whatever I have.” Be thankful about your spouse, kids, job, family members, coworkers, bank account status, let's just start learning to be thankful for what we have. If there are changes to be made – okay – make them, but until then, don’t let your mood be determine by what you do or don't have. Those who know "THE REAL POINTS OF POWER" know that we should just be thankful for today because it wasn't promised. Enjoy life and let's just be thankful for it all. - This has been your weekly power point

Healing for the Soul

Good Morning,

After spending time with my father a couple of weeks ago in Michigan and dealing with some personal struggles between the two of us. I thought everything was find but here recently I found myself getting angry at him for no reason. Things were suppose to be cool we had a long talk and apologized to each other for past mistakes. But, as I was spending time with God today he gave me an analogy of a band-aid. I thought it would be helpful to some of you who receive this email. You know when you have a cut, bruise or scrape, band-aids really come in handy. They cover the sore to keep it from getting worse until it can heal. But band-aids themselves don’t heal the wound. In fact, some healing happens better when the cut or scrape is left open to the air, healing naturally. Some of life’s scrapes are like that, too. Covering them up doesn’t always promote healing. Putting a band-aid on the relationship with my father didn’t heal it and it want heal those bad relationships you have. Sometimes we suppress things so deep that we don't even know were are true feelings are. Sometimes we pretend that every thing is great and that we are perfectly happy, we're not angry with anybody, life is good. But deep down we are pretending that we've healed from something that we haven't. Band-Aids only work if your intentions are to get better. So do you intend to get better; live happier, and begin to slowly pill off the band-aid. Because if pulled off to fast you could re injury yourself. If you are ready you will need to expose yourself to life, even with your pains and scars. You might suffer as the scab grows over the wound and it might look bad. But you will be healing, not hiding. Healing happens when life itself restores the missing pieces to you; it’s part of the natural healing process. Those who know the REAL POINTS OF POWER know that they can remove all the band-aids in there life and let there true healing begin today. Don't keep hiding from life. - - This is has been your weekly "Power Point"

No Fault Living

Good Morning,
2 Samuel 22:26 says, “To the faithful you show yourself faithful, to the blameless you show yourself blameless.” - Car insurance has a policy called No Fault. You are covered regardless of who caused the accident. You don’t have to spend time worrying about who to blame. You are faithfully covered with no fault. In life, there will be accidents, misunderstanding, and hurt feelings. You will be tempted to point the finger, to find fault. You may want to blame someone, even yourself. But sometimes it’s not anyone’s fault; things just happen. Not every incident has a good reason for happening. Some are best dealt with as no fault, without malicious intent. So drop it; move on file it as no fault. Sure, you could try to get to the bottom of why the garbage wasn’t taken out, the laundry wasn’t done, the dishes aren’t clean and your favorite cup got broke. Yes, you could try to figure out why your spouse forgot your birthday, or why your kids don’t like to eat there green beans, but why? What good would it do? Sometimes it's best to just say –no hurt, no harm, no fowl, none of my business; no fault. In the grand scheme of life, some things really don’t matter that much. Those who know “THE REAL POINTS OF POWER” don’t find fault in life and it won’t find fault in you. Don’t let minor issues spoil there day. Don’t worry so much about them; no fault. - This is has been your weekly power point

Choose Your Words Carefully

Never take what words are said to you lightly and more importantly, choose the words you say even more carefully. The English language has a quarter of a million words in it. Each one of us utilizes between 5 and 10 thousand words in our daily vocabulary( I did my research) . It’s the 10,000 words used that reflect the current mental state and direction you are and will go in life. If your words are negative ones like sick, broke, can’t, angry, lonely, and hate, then you are sure to surround yourself with just those things. But if you choose positive words like health, wealth, will, can, happy, and love, that’s the direction your mind and life will follow. So this week’s Power Point is STICKS AND STONES MAY BREAK MY BONES, BUT MY WORDS CAN EMPOWER ME…If you are being blessed by this weekly email forward it to someone else, also drop me a line to let me know that this service is being a blessing to you.

Have a blessed week. - J.L. Godfrey

Reflections

Good Morning,

We are now entering into the second half of the year and it is one of the most important times in our life. (HALFTIME) As we say farewell to the previous six months and welcome the next six months. What positive changes have came your way in the areas of health, wealth, relationships and all other aspects of your life. Now is the time to deeply reflect upon the areas in your life and address any changes that may be needed to make you a more POWERFUL individual. Ask yourself: “Am I rich or am I poor?” Money has nothing to do with this question. It is a state of mind, a true understanding of it is if you are fulfilled in your every day life. Anybody who knows the "REAL POINTS POWER" knows that “POOR IS A PERSON WHOSE PLEASURE DEPENDS ON THE PERMISSION OF OTHERS”. When reflecting this week, be honest with yourself and then try to make the changes needed to have more POWERin your life. Because its not about how you start it's about how you finish. "FINISH STRONG"

Have a safe week,

Thoughts

After spending time with my son this weekend and seeing him become so concerned about is friends and what they think of him. I want you to, spend time analyzing how you prioritize what you spend most of your time thinking about. Think about the people you know that spend most of their time thinking about getting high, fighting with their boyfriend or girlfriend, going to clubs, wrapped up in celebrity gossip, and things of that nature. Then think about the people you know that think about taking care of their family, health, helping others, financial intelligence, current events and continuing their education. You’ll notice that both parties are totally opposite.

Those who concentrate on the petty things in life are truly unhappy with themselves and others. They are still searching for their way as they try to fit in. Those who think about the important things in most cases have found happiness and progression in their lives. This would appear to be common sense to most, but you would be surprised how many people don’t see the obvious.

It really is very simple and those who know the “REAL POINTS POWER” know that “SUCCESSFUL PEOPLE SPEND MOST OF THEIR THOUGHTS ON THINGS OF HIGH VALUE, AND UNSUCCESSFUL PEOPLE SPEND MOST OF THEIR THOUGHTS ON THINGS OF LOW VALUE”.

I wish you a great week.

"Desire and Preparation"

This week, think about the person around you who is successful. Doesn’t he or she seem to always be lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time? Lucky enough to be connected to all the right people and lucky enough that everything he or she touches turns to gold? Well if you give it more thought and look deeper at this person, you will notice that they are constantly moving, thinking and working at what they want. Highly successful people who know the “True Points of Power” know that “LUCK IS WHEN DESIRE AND PREPARATION MEET OPPORTUNITY”. Once you understand this train of thought, luck will start coming your way! Have a lucky week.
